Nascar’s head massage therapist has signed a $50,000-a-year contract with a Las Vegas massage parlors, according to TMZ Sports.
The contract, which is subject to review, comes as the team is looking to improve its facilities after a disastrous 2013 season that saw the team finish second in the Super Bowl.
The team hired former NFL and New York Jets coach Joe Paterno to run the facility, but the hiring was controversial, with Paternas public backing for the move and his son Joe Sr. publicly criticizing the hiring.
“It is important to us that we are a welcoming and safe environment for everyone to come in, including our employees,” a spokesperson for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement.
“This is not a new situation for the Parlor, and we have always taken a proactive approach to keep the employees and our guests safe.
We welcome and welcome all visitors to our facility.”
The spokesperson added that police have “been in touch with the Parlors representatives” and will “provide assistance as necessary.”
