Massaging the calf is one of the best ways to improve your fitness, according to a new study.
It may even help you avoid getting a heart attack.
In the latest installment of “The Massage Machine: How to Fix Your Excess,” a team of researchers at the University of Michigan analyzed the massage machines used by American men to get their calves and buttocks moving.
They found that using the devices, which typically cost between $40 and $50, resulted in improvements in the muscles of the calf and hip, as well as strengthening the muscles around the buttocks and hip joint.
“Our findings show that the use of the massage devices for massaging the calves and hips significantly improves performance on the physical fitness and physical function tests of the participants,” the researchers wrote.
“Specifically, the massage device can improve the calf muscle strength, flexibility, and elasticity.”
The researchers also found that people who used the devices were able to perform better in an endurance-based sport like cycling or walking, which is also known to improve calf muscle performance.
